saddly i dont like this.... it makes it easyer to kill eachother, and more likely that we carey them, sowrds and axes you dont see everywhere gunns you do..also the way it was expland to me is a Vamp is a dead body powerd by blood, do damage the size of a bullet to the body is nothing like a huge hunk of steal choping into it. but im cool with what the St says so ROCK ON! AND LET THE SHELLS FLY!!

Without the ability to truely "aim" a shot, all you rellay need be concerned with in the game is 1) can I hit what I am shooting at, and 2) will what I am shooting have the desired effect on the target.
If you are going to carry an gun and do more than threaten with it, you will need the in-game knowledge to know what type of ammunition will be lethal or aggravated to the most potential targets. Once you know this, it is up to the STs whether they want to allow it in their game, and to what extent it is available, if it is allowed. As with swords; in normal modern societies, you can't go around brandishing a firearm of any kind in most public settings and not suffer some consequences. Ammunition is generally tracable if it is not recovered (try digging a full clip of uzi ammunition out of walls, bystanders, and hopefully the person you hit before you need to get out of Dodge. If you choose this type of weapon and attack pattern, you may end up dumping a lot of guns after using them just a few times, and the authorities do (should) keep track of a sudden popularity of high volume killing devices. Weapon choice should be a reflection of the character (IMO). A Vampire of old would probably be more knowledable in blades and gunpowder, and a blade wound would make a convenient feeding opening that would not necessarily bring blood suckers to mind and alert the church or hunters. A blade in the hands of a WoD vampire wiht Celerity would be a quiet and effective weapon. Remember that no matter what you do, guns are powered by explosions (except for a rail-gun and I don't think we want to get into that here) For normal humans (no blood healing, magic or regeneration) the volume of ammunition deliverable makes a firearm an equalizer for the supernatural, if they have effective ammunition. On the other side, if you are in an area of high gang or mob violence with guns, then guns may be lower on the local radar to be noticed than sword wounds or m assive claw marks. |
