Inside she paces back and forth across the small bedroom, her thoughts racing. Ella reaches up to run a hand down her long blond hair, pulling on a strand; a nervous habit that she does unconsciously. Impulsively she cleans anything she can find, but the small cabin is neat and tidy and there isn't much to do.

She stops suddenly and moves to the still unpacked box that Scorches brought from her apartment. Frantically she begins throwing her belongings out of it, searching desperately for something. She exhales sharply in relief as she pulls a cheap book, like any you'd find at Border's, out and hugs it to her chest. Glancing in the box she sees several similar ones, all well used. She rummages again, coming up with a pencil before striding over to the bed they'd shared and sitting on it. She put her back to the wall and pulled her knees to her chest, opening the book and writing furiously.
