She feels the kiss of the whip on her back and screams out, trying to struggle against the ropes holding her down. She had always been able to fight against the ropes that Horacio tied, but this was different...this was not Horacio's voice, and there was more than one person there. She opens her eyes to find herself tied to a tree, then looks around to see a camp, and at once she recognized it. She was back in Africa, they had found her.

A panic rises in her, if they had found her, then what happened to everyone else? She starts to scream out for her pack, calling for Horacio, Kendov, Mackenzie, AJ and Benjamin, but they don't come. Suddenly there is a voice in her head. "They are not coming. They cannot save you. Only we can save you...only we can love you."

"GET OUT OF MY HEAD!" she struggles harder against the rope holding her there. She pops her claws and cuts the rope then turns around to look at her attackers, there they are, the Sabbat she had betrayed. They stand there smiling at her. "No one will save you Corin, you are ours, you will always be ours. We are all you know...the Camarilla cannot help you, they cannot keep you safe."
"YOU LIE!"

Suddenly the Sabbat start to disappear one by one, she looks around only to see Horacio, he stands there looking at her with a look in his eyes, a look of the upmost love there could ever be in the world. He holds a hand out to her "Come to me Corin, I will protect you, I will hide you among the lions and keep you safe."

She looks to his left to see the people she had called out for, the clan Gangrel of Lamar, they all stand there looking at her with a look in their eyes, a look that a real family would give her. They each hold a hand out to her "Come to us Corin, we will protect you, we will hide you among the clan and keep you safe."

She looks to their left to see Romeo come out of the shadows, he stands there looking at her, with a look in his eyes, a look of someone who is concerned, someone who wants to protect her. He holds a hand out to her "Come to me Corin, I will protect you, I'll hide you in the shadows with me and keep you safe."

She looks to Romeo's left to see Lazarus, he stands there looking at her, with a look in his eyes, a look of someone who wants to trust her. He holds a hand out to her "Come with me Corin, I will protect you, I'll hide you within my power and keep you safe."

She looks to Lazarus' left to see Pius standing there looking at her, with a look in his eyes, a look of someone who wants to know more about her. He holds a hand out to her "Come with me Corin, I will protect you, I'll hide you deep in the Chantry and keep you safe."

She looks to Pius' left to see the rest of the Camarilla of Lamar standing there looking at her with a look in their eyes, a look that real friends would give her. They each hold a hand out to her, "Come with us Corin, we will protect you, we'll hide you deep in the Ivory tower and keep you safe."

She looks to the left of the Camarilla to see Constantino standing there looking at her, with a look in his eyes, a look of someone who needs her help. He holds his hand out to her "Come with me Corin, I will protect you, I will hide you deep within the Giovanni Mansion and keep you safe."

She looks at everyone there, all of them forming a circle around her, all with hands extended, all of them promising protection.

Sure she could go with Horacio and stand by him forever no matter what, just as she had done for the last 140 years.

She could choose her clan and stand by them forever no matter what, learning what a true family should be.

She could choose Romeo and stand by him forever no matter what, loving him and knowing that he will never feel the same way for her.

She could choose Lazarus and stand by him forever no matter what, protecting him and watching over him, with purpose in her life.

She could choose Pius and stand by him forever no matter what, letting him do whatever he needed to in order to figure out what he wanted to know about her.

She could choose the Camarilla as a whole and stand by them forever no matter what, helping them to grow and keeping them safe from the Sabbat.

She could choose Constantino and stand by him forever no matter what, helping him to keep his family safe.

She looks and see's another direction, one with no one standing there, a direction which clearly means she would choose no one but herself looking out for no one but herself.

She turns and looks at everyone there, holding their hands out to her, each one of them wanting her by their side. She continues to turn in circles looking at each group, until she falls to the ground on her hands and knees.

"Corin, wake up. Come on my love...wake up."
"I can't."
"You have to, my love, I need you. Wake up."

She sits up in her bed, and looks around her room, she is there alone. She completely understood now what Theo had told her, she had to get on a page. She had already chosen to keep the Sabbat out of her life, and had chosen the Camarilla, but what part? Who within the Camarilla could she really trust?

It was in her hands now...and it was time to choose a direction.
